The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking for a Project Manager who is experienced in Engineering or manufacturing, to oversee, co-ordinate, lead and manage the successful delivery of forklift truck and diesel engine conversion projects, to be used in hazardous environments, ensuring compliance with ATEX/IECEx standards, on-time delivery, and alignment with Pyrobans safety and quality standards. You will be someone who drives projects through, is able to see problems before they arise, trouble shoot, put plans in place, with a track record of strong PM work within a similar industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with, and direct engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Ensure all conversions meet regulatory and customer-specific requirements for hazardous environments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status and technical queries.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the conversion process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

  • PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience with forklift truck or diesel engine conversions.
  • Understanding of ATEX/IECEx standards and hazardous area equipment (Category 2).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and project tracking tools.

We work Monday to Thursday and Fridays, but can flexi these to start/finish up to one hour later. Benefits include 25 days holiday, pension, life assurance and health cash plan. Strictly no Agencies.
