We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to work with stone for a high end company, providing clients with a range of architectural exterior and interior bespoke pieces. You will have worked in a workshop environment with cutting and programming experience, ideally in stonemasonry but other similar industries would still be relevant. Using advanced CNC 3-6 axis machinery to create stone designs from block, the role is a mixture of cutting, programming, stone selection, stone handling/placement, machine operations, thinking in 3D, adapting this with CAD. Experience of Alphacam or similar software will be of benefit but can be developed in role for the right candidate. A Forklift licence would be beneficial. You will be physically fit, have extremely high attention to detail, quality and standards, lots of initiative, be technical and practical, with good Mathematical and written English skills, understand deadlines and enjoy working in a close knit team. Daily Tasks * Loading & unloading saws safely, using crane or forklift (training provided) * Planning work to ensure saws are working. * Programming CNC saws & 3-6 axis saws * Using Alphacam to programme machinery (training provided). * Reading and planning stonemasonry drawings on AutoCAD. * Washing down of CNC machines * Plant maintenance duties * Attending team/machinist meetings * Daily pre-operation checks on your specific machines Due to the rural location, your own transport is necessary.
