Pioneer Safety Group companies provide a wide range of products and services, including explosion protection solutions for the materials handling industry, oil and gas engine kits, fork lift conversions and gas detection for vehicles. We’re looking for an Electrical Assembly Fitter who has strong mechanical skills (70/30 elec/mech) to support the electro‑mechanical build of our product packages, including engine and forklift truck conversions. Working in a newly created team of 3, you’ll work on sub assembly, looms, carry out re‑commissioning work and de‑commissioning, be able to fault find and rectify, ensuring all builds meet quality and Ex standards, and complete component testing and be confident to work on your own projects.

What you’ll do as an Electrical Assembly Fitter:

  • Follow build processes and all health & safety requirements
  • Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions
  • Complete builds to the correct standards and carry out quality checks
  • Record build, quality and compliance data using the tools provided
  • Work to planned timescales and flag issues affecting production
  • Complete documentation and timesheets accurately
  • Support continuous improvement and follow ISO9001 processes
  • Keep the workspace clean and safe in line with 5S standards
  • Be available to train for approximately 4 weeks at our main site in Shoreham
