We are recruiting a GROUNDWORKS / CIVILS QUANTITY SURVEYOR on behalf of a rapidly expanding contractor based on the outskirts of Glasgow. Responsibilities
- Managing the full commercial lifecycle of groundwork and civils projects
- Preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and valuation reports
- Controlling costs and ensuring that budgets are met
- Carrying out cost analysis and identifying areas for savings
- Producing monthly cost reports and forecasts
- Assessing and agreeing variations and change management
- Maintaining strong communication with site teams and clients
- Ensuring contractual compliance with NEC3/NEC4 or other relevant forms of contract
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering or groundworks sector
- Strong understanding of BOQs, cost planning and management
- Excellent cost control and cost reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Full UK driving licence
