Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Permanent Location: Glasgow Salary: £Negotiable DOE Ref: GR1432 Gibson Recruitment Limited Job Description: Leading Glasgow-based sub-contractor, primarily specialising in refurbishment works for blue-chip clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding Contractor that can offer career progression and exposure to challenging projects. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for advising on contract conditions and commercial matters and maintaining accurate financial control systems including, but not limited to: Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with existing client accounts and ad-hoc projects. Monitoring project progress monthly. Price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for projects and project variances. Resolve commercial and contractual disputes with the customer. Manage and maximise cashflow to meet company standards and budgets. Produce financial and management reports that monitor project progress. The successful candidate will possess: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying. Demonstrable experience working within the refurbishment / fit-out sectors. IT proficient with Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel. Membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., RICS) is preferred. Proficiency in construction cost estimation and Microsoft Office Experience on working with schedules of rates would be beneficial.
