A major UK Tier 1 Contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering new build construction & civil engineering projects in the public, private, and regulated sectors. Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Advisor will provide support and guidance to the project team.
- Promotion of our health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within the Company and with our sub-contractors.
- Ensure working practices are safe and comply with relevant legislation.
- Review sub-contractor documentation including safe systems of works.
- Assist in the preparation of health and safety strategies and in the development of internal policies and procedures.
- Lead and deliver health & safety initiatives.
- Assist in the in-house training of managers and employees.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being fully implemented.
- Conduct accident / incident investigations.
