The predicted salary is between 44000 - 54000 Β£ per year.
A national civil engineering contractor, due to a period of sustained growth, has a requirement for an additional Site Engineer to join their team. Projects are primarily in the Renewable Energy sector and will expose the successful Site Engineer to a variety of work. Due to the remote nature of some jobs, staying away from home should be expected, and accommodation will be provided.
Role & Responsibilities:
- To deliver setting out works on ongoing contracts, ensuring that they operate within cost, productivity, quality, and health, safety and environment targets.
- Ensure contracts are delivered safely on time, within budget and to programme.
- Maintain a good relationship with clients to avoid disputes.
- Have a high level of commercial awareness related to the works.
- Assure that all work is carried out to company safety, environmental, and quality standards and to regularly communicate with staff and operatives.
- Carry out safety audits as required by line management.
- Liaise with and manage sub-contractors to ensure their strict adherence to the company health, safety and environment policy and quality standards.
- Ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for the safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
- HND/Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
- Understanding of modern setting out equipment.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Practice of prioritising time-critical work.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills.
