A major UK Tier 1 Contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering new build construction and civil engineering projects in the public, private, and regulated sectors. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Advisor will provide support and guidance to the project team.
- Promotion of our health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within the Company and with our sub-contractors.
- Review sub-contractor documentation including safe systems of works.
- Assist in the preparation of health and safety strategies and in the development of internal policies and procedures.
- Lead and deliver health and safety initiatives.
- Assist in the in-house training of managers and employees.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being fully implemented.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will possess the following essential qualities:
- Professionally qualified within Health and Safety field (NEBOSH/NCRQ, BSc or MSc in Safety).
- Proven track record as an operational Health and Safety Advisor within the Construction industry.
- Thorough knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
- CSCS Card.
