National Civil Engineering Contractor with a growing team and enviable footprint of projects across the country have a requirement for an experienced ESTIMATOR to join their pre-construction team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a CIVILS ESTIMATOR to join an expanding Contractor as they extend their presence in the Scottish Construction Industry. Applications are encouraged from individuals who have a Civil Engineering qualification and have demonstrable experience as a Site Engineer prior to transitioning into an Estimating role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil engineering works.
  • Review and interpret tender documentation, specifications, and drawings.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical input.
  • Produce Bills of Quantities and take-offs from drawings.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with project tenders.
  • Support bid submissions and presentations to clients.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to ensure tender proposals are achievable and competitive.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experienced as an Estimator in civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction.
  • Good understanding of civil engineering methods, materials, and rates.
  • Proficient in the use of estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Confident communicator who can work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen to grow within an ambitious business.
