We have been engaged by a reputable and long-standing Building & Civil Engineering Contractor who, due to a period of sustained growth, have a requirement for an ARCHITECT to join their team on a permanent basis. The business acts as both Main Contractor and Sub-Contractor to deliver a wide range of Concrete and Civil Engineering Works, as well as Commercial Buildings. The role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to progress your career with further training and development. You will be involved in everything from feasibility studies to project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Carrying out feasibility studies and site surveys
- Preparing preliminary designs and technical drawings
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Producing planning applications, building regulations, and construction drawings
- Preparing pre-construction information and documentation
- Managing projects from concept to completion.
Essential Criteria:
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- 2–3 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge and construction detailing skills.
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Full, clean driving licence
