My client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to work as part of a small team to ensure that our payroll is flawlessly executed, on time, every time. You’ll support the payroll team with all of the monthly payroll activity across 5 payrolls of over 1,200 colleagues.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist job:
- Delivery of end to end transactional and operational tasks for payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with our third-party payroll service provider, highlighting any operational issues that may impact on the customer experience to the Payroll Manager.
- Ensure compliance on all legislative changes - particularly around NMW, RLW, Holiday Pay and pension.
- Support in the administration of the pension scheme alongside the Payroll Administrator, ensuring compliance with auto enrolment regulations.
- Play an active role in the set up of any new benefits that are introduced to ensure HMRC payroll compliant.
- Liaise with finance on any payroll reconciliation items to ensure accurate postings in the payroll control accounts.
