Contract Role - Data Scientist - London/Remote - 8 Months Initial - Inside IR35 PAYE

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist who has more of a Product Analytics background, working in partnership with product and engineering teams to deliver product outcomes rather than someone who has spent a lot of time building ML models.

Role Overview:

  • Define and Establish Metrics
  • Support Experimentation and Opportunity Sizing
  • Develop Roadmap
  • Identify and Address Performance Gaps
  • Collaborate on Executive Data Presentations
  • Extract Insights and Present to Director

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in hands-on data analysis with the ability to write complex queries.
  • Experienced in data visualization and storytelling to convey insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Performing quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets.
  • Data querying language: SQL
  • Scripting language: Python
  • Statistical or mathematical software including one of the following: R, SAS, or Matlab
  • Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting
  • Quantitative analysis techniques, including one of the following: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Good education background

  • Worked cross functionally, influencing skills
