We’re Gibberd Architects, an established and collaborative studio in Shoreditch with a diverse, multi-sector portfolio. For over 90 years, we’ve been designing and delivering buildings that balance elegance, buildability and sustainability. We’re looking for motivated and thoughtful people to join our team and help us continue that tradition — contributing to projects that are as carefully made as they are thoughtfully conceived.

How we work (hybrid, but in-person matters):

  • Hybrid pattern: Typically Mon–Thu in our Shoreditch studio, with Fridays WFH when the project stage allows.
  • Why in-person: We value real collaboration, desk-side mentoring and regular site exposure — you’ll be part of the construction process, not watching from afar.

Location: These are London-based, in-person roles with regular site and client meetings.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to technical design and delivery across RIBA Stages 3–7.
  • Produce and coordinate drawings, details and specifications.
  • Attend site visits and design team meetings.
  • Support our studio standards around buildability, sustainability and quality.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong technical awareness; Stages 4/5 experience highly desirable.
  • Confident Revit and AutoCAD skills.
  • A proactive, detail-focused approach and a willingness to learn on site.

Why join us:

  • Meaningful site exposure and responsibility, with support from experienced seniors.
  • A friendly, hands-on studio in a great part of town with excellent transport links.
  • Commitment to sustainable design and high-quality delivery.
  • CPD, mentorship and progression opportunities.

How to apply: Please email a cover letter, CV and portfolio (showing technical work) to Louise Daniel. Learn more at gibberd.com. Please note: applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we’re not able to offer visa sponsorship for these roles. No agencies, please. Gibberd Architects is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to best practice in employment and project delivery and ensure our work is fair, safe and of the highest quality.
