An excellent long-term opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Site Manager to join a major infrastructure project near Reading involving HV cable laying works for a new Substation development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile project with secured work running through to 2028, offering long-term stability and the chance to work on critical infrastructure within highly regulated environments.
The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background and previous experience supervising electrical installation works, managing subcontractors, coordinating site activities, and maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise HV cable laying and electrical installation works on site
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate daily site activities
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, compliantly, and to programme
- Stakeholder management across site teams, clients, and subcontractors
- Maintain site documentation, RAMS, permits, and progress reporting
- Drive health & safety standards and ensure works meet quality expectations
- Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Oversee process-driven installation activities within regulated environments
- Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Site Manager, or similar
- Strong electrical background within infrastructure, utilities, rail, MOD, or industrial projects
- Experience supervising HV cable installation or substation-related works preferred
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance procedures
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple work fronts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- MOD or Rail project experience highly advantageous
- Must be able to obtain Security Clearance
- Previous Security Clearance highly desirable
