We're supporting a leading organisation within the built environment in their search for an experienced HSE Advisor / Manager to oversee multiple sites and office locations across Portsmouth, Swindon and Reading.
The Role
You'll be responsible for driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture across three operational locations, ensuring compliance, supporting site teams, and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. This position suits someone confident managing multiple clients and environments within the construction and built‑environment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HSE compliance across three sites and office locations
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Maintain and improve HSE management systems
- Prepare reports, documentation and improvement plans
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all locations
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
- Additional HSE qualifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH Construction, Fire Safety certs, Environmental certs) highly desirable.
- Strong background in construction, built environment, or a similar HSE‑focused sector
- Familiarity with common HSE accreditations such as CHAS, SafeContractor, ISO 45001, Constructionline, etc.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
