Do you love being out at meetings with clients, building relationships and winning new business? At Giant Group, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to work closely with recruitment agencies and help grow our contractor network.

What we offer

  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum +£18k OTE (uncapped)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: 37hrs per week, Mon to Fri 9AM -5:30PM (flexibility required for client meetings and evening events)
  • Location: Field-based (Manchester/Liverpool area)

About the role

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with recruitment agencies that supply temporary contractors. Your primary objective will be to generate contractor referrals and grow agency partnerships by positioning Giant as the preferred supplier of payroll, compliance and workforce solutions.

You will work proactively with recruitment consultants, managers and directors to develop strong partnerships that increase contractor referrals and expand the use of Giant’s services.

Key responsibilities

  • Build strong multi-level relationships within recruitment agencies, from consultants through to senior management.
  • Developing a portfolio of recruitment agencies and increasing contractor referrals from those relationships.
  • Identifying new recruitment agencies that work with temporary contractors and introducing Giant’s services.
  • Growing Giant’s market share within your agency portfolio by developing trusted long-term relationships.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or introduce additional Giant services such as screening, global payroll and workforce management solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, opportunities and pipeline activity within the CRM system.
  • Using LinkedIn, email and phone engagement to build relationships with agency stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with internal departments to ensure excellent service delivery to agency partners.
  • UK travel and occasional evening hospitality where appropriate.

About you

  • Energetic, driven to succeed in a sales-focused role
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in business development or similar roles
  • Skilled at building rapport and ‘reading the room’ in client meetings
  • Tenacious with a track record of hitting sales and activity targets
  • Resilient, positive and confident in both phone and face-to-face sales
  • Excited to travel, meet clients and grow long-term partnerships
