The Platform Product Management team, a blend of Product Owners and Business Analysts, is at the forefront of defining and orchestrating Giacom's technological evolution. The role of Product Owner at Giacom is fundamental to the development of our platform. The Product Owner is responsible for forging the company’s vision for our products and ensuring that vision is realised. The Product Owner supports the whole software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivering a quality viable product.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with the Product Team to establish the product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and OKRs.
  • Present solutions to stakeholders and clients, gather feedback, understand customer needs, and incorporate them into product development.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with roadmaps, planning, and impact assessments.
  • Ensure that cross-functional teams have a shared understanding of product goals, customer needs, and the business value to be delivered.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Engineers, Designers, Solution Architects, QA Managers, and agile delivery leads to ensure user stories, product design, and quality standards are met, and challenge solutions where appropriate.
  • Conduct and support competitive analysis and market research to inform product strategy, positioning, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the User-centred Design team to maintain consistent UX standards and participate in wireframing and storyboarding.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Product Owner of software applications (SaaS, native app).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders at various levels.
  • Motivate others, lead change, and work under pressure on multiple projects within timeframes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for creating solutions and a positive attitude toward change.
  • Keen eye for information design and user experience.
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog management and sprint planning.
  • Appreciation of quality control and change management processes.
