My client seeks to appoint an experienced solicitor (2+ years PQE) to join their wills and estates team, based on the outskirts of Leeds. This role is a unique opportunity to join a small team with a long-standing and loyal client base, working on a varied caseload covering all aspects of wills, probate and estates law. Their wills and estates team includes members of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, a nationally recognised community of lawyers who help older and vulnerable people with legal issues. My client is a privately-owned law firm which has been representing individuals for over 100 years.
About the role
Following a thorough onboarding process, you will have your own caseload involving a broad range of matters including wills, trusts, probate, Court of Protection, and lasting powers of attorney. You will receive regular training to ensure you thrive in the role and achieve your own personal and professional development goals, as well as keeping you fully aware of changes and updates to regulations and best practices. There are excellent prospects for career progression within this role, and you will be given the opportunity to undertake paid study for the STEP exams. You will be able to support the firm's marketing and business development strategy, producing written content for publication on- and off-line, as well as building relationships and attending networking events. About you
They are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience handling a wide variety of matters. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be confident dealing with people at all levels of seniority internally and externally. They are looking for a candidate with a track record of providing excellent standards of client care, exceptional attention to detail, and the desire to exceed clients' expectations. Although full training will be provided, we are looking for someone with excellent technical experience.
