We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our well-established client in Burton-On-Trent. In this key role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of production tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce, repair, and refurbish tools and fixtures in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out both preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
- Running diagnostics and fault find issues.
- Modify existing tooling to improve performance.
- Operate a range of machinery, including mills, lathes and grinders.
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, CMM tools) to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Work to tight tolerances.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker or similar within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and toolroom practices.
- Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problemâsolving skills and attention to detail.
