We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our well-established client in Burton-On-Trent. In this key role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of production tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce, repair, and refurbish tools and fixtures in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out both preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
  • Running diagnostics and fault find issues.
  • Modify existing tooling to improve performance.
  • Operate a range of machinery, including mills, lathes and grinders.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, gauges, CMM tools) to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Work to tight tolerances.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Toolmaker or similar within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and toolroom practices.
  • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
