Join Gi Group supporting our client based in Marston Gate, as a Class 1 Shunter. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional shunter for ongoing position!
Role & Responsibilities:
- Moving heavy goods vehicle (HGV) trailers around a depot yard or between local companies
- Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
- Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on your first day
- Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
- Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores
Shifts: Monday to Friday start 19:00 Ongoing & Full Time Opportunity

- Monday to Friday Day Shift: £20.17ph
- Monday to Friday Night Shift: £21.29ph
- Weekend / BH: £22.41ph - £25.78ph
Class 1 Driver Requirements:
- Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experience
- Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
- Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
- Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
- Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
