About the Role
As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical and control system designs using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel. You will produce a full suite of documentation, support project delivery, and collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical system design for a variety of projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel
- Creation of project documentation including title pages, revision overviews, layouts, diagrams, parts lists, and reports
- Production of BOMs, wire labels, cable labels, and device tag labels using Excel
- Importing and exporting drawings to and from DXF/DWG formats
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant HSE, ISO, and industry standards
- Providing technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams
- Conducting safety hardware validation using SISTEMA
- Working collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
What You'll Need
- HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Designer
- Strong working knowledge of EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel
- Understanding of electrical and control components
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
