The Gi Group are currently looking for warehouse operators to join our client, a well-known distribution company in Livingston. This is temporary, on-going work. If you are looking for a role that has a great, friendly working environment that includes working at a fast pace to meet targets and deadlines, this may be the job for you. Due to start time and site location, own transport is essential.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Shift Patterns available: Tuesday to Saturday 4:00am to 12:30 = 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Unloading containers from incoming vehicles
- Sort parcels to the correct dispatch location
- Loading onto outgoing transport
- Scanning and identification of parcel destination by code number or postcode
- Placing mail into the correct wheeled container for dispatch
Important information: The operations take place in a loud, busy factory-style environment where you will be standing for long periods of time, lifting items up to 11KG in weight and pushing wheeled containers weighing up to 250kg. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential and you will be required to apply for a DBS check. Candidates also must be able to provide 2 years referencing; all gaps in employment must be covered.
