Overview
GI GROUP is looking for Temp-Perm Warehouse Operatives in Atherstone, CV9 2SQ, with fixed contracts until March 2027 – relocating to Coalville, LE67 after March.
Shift Schedule
We operate two time slots:
- 2pm Shifts – Selectors: Order Picking using LLOP and Voice Pick (training provided). This role covers either Chill or Intake – Intake involves checking in goods and scanning/quality checking with some picking for a few hours. Logistics Assistants: Loading and unloading pallets using LLOP.
- 7pm Shifts – Selectors: Order Picking using LLOP and Voice Pick (training provided). This role covers either Chill or Produce – Produce involves heavier items.
Pay Rates
- Selectors – Start Rate £13.10 for hours worked before 10pm / £16.38 after 10pm. After 12 weeks: £14.56 before 10pm / £18.20 after 10pm.
- Logistics Assistants – Start Rate £12.21 before 10pm / £14.39 after 10pm. After 12 weeks: £12.79 before 10pm / £15.99 after 10pm.
Skills We Look For
- Physical fitness – good level of strength and stamina to lift and move heavy items, work in a physically demanding environment, and perform tasks like standing for long periods.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to detail – critical for accurate order picking, inventory management, and avoiding errors.
- Technical proficiency – comfort and skill with technology, including hand‑held devices, computers, and warehouse management systems to input data or track inventory.
- Communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with colleagues and managers regarding orders, tasks, and updates.
- Teamwork – ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals and contribute to a productive work atmosphere.
- Listening skills – ability to listen carefully and follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility & adaptability – willingness to change and take on a variety of tasks as needed.

- Site Tours – usually Tuesday and Wednesday at 2pm for 45 minutes.
- Group Interviews – usually Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm for 1 hour.
