This is an opportunity to join Gi Group and work with one of our Local Authority Clients in the centre of Nottingham. This role will be part of a large team of Drivers [public realm operatives], supporting the environmental services provided by the Council. You will be a frontline worker who maintains and improves the appearance and functionality of public spaces like streets, parks, and open areas. Driving License: * A valid driving license is required, especially for operating company vehicles. * You may be required to drive / operate larger vehicles or machinery. Core Duties: * Cleansing: Litter picking, sweeping, emptying bins, and removing waste. * Maintenance: Carrying out minor repairs, reporting damage, and assisting with grounds maintenance. * Safety: Identifying and addressing hazards, ensuring public spaces are safe for use. * Public Engagement: Interacting with the public in a positive and helpful manner. Skills and Requirements: * Physical Fitness: Many tasks require physical exertion, so a good level of fitness is needed. * Outdoor Work: Public realm operatives work in all weather conditions. * Equipment Operation: They may need to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment. * Teamwork: Public realm operatives often work both independently and as part of a team.
