The role: You'll support the business with the implementation of SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards, while helping build a strong, positive safety culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving high standards of Health & Safety on-site
  • Identifying operational risks and ensuring controls are in place
  • Supporting ISO-aligned systems (e.g., 9001 / 14001 / 45001) and auditing activity
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions
  • Delivering toolbox talks/briefings and supporting SHEQ training and communications
  • Monitoring environmental impact and supporting compliance activity
  • Producing/checking RAMS and completing risk assessments (COSHH)
  • Supporting wider H&S projects and reporting as required

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety/SHEQ role (ideally manufacturing/heavy industry)
  • NEBOSH preferred (minimum IOSH considered; training support may be available)
  • Confident with audits, management systems and compliance requirements
  • Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working under pressure and responding quickly when standards slip
