The predicted salary is between 14 - 14 Β£ per hour.

Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off | Hours: 6:00am-6:00pm (12-hour shifts)

Paid hours: 11.5 hours per shift

Contract: Long-term ongoing work with a view to a permanent contract for the right candidate

We're recruiting a Trainee Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturer producing building supply products in Aldridge. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing - full training provided.

Pay Rates

  • £13.50 per hour once permanent
  • £37,000 pa

The Role

As a Trainee Machine Operator, you'll support the day-to-day running of production machinery and ensure products meet quality standards. Key duties include:

  • Monitoring machines during operation and reporting any issues
  • Completing quality checks on finished products and recording results
  • Using a computer to input data, complete basic production paperwork, and follow work instructions
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets safely and consistently

What We're Looking For

  • Able to work 12-hour day shifts (6am-6pm), 4 on / 4 off reliably
  • Physically fit and comfortable standing for the full shift
  • Confident using a computer (basic systems/data entry)
  • Strong attention to detail, especially for quality checking and monitoring machine performance
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn (previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential)
