We're recruiting a Trainee Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturer producing building supply products in Aldridge. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing - full training provided.
Pay Rates
- £13.50 per hour once permanent
- £37,000 pa
The Role
As a Trainee Machine Operator, you'll support the day-to-day running of production machinery and ensure products meet quality standards. Key duties include:
- Monitoring machines during operation and reporting any issues
- Completing quality checks on finished products and recording results
- Using a computer to input data, complete basic production paperwork, and follow work instructions
- Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
- Working as part of a team to meet production targets safely and consistently
What We're Looking For
- Able to work 12-hour day shifts (6am-6pm), 4 on / 4 off reliably
- Physically fit and comfortable standing for the full shift
- Confident using a computer (basic systems/data entry)
- Strong attention to detail, especially for quality checking and monitoring machine performance
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn (previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential)
