Job Title: Trade Counter Assistant
Location: Coventry
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 + 2 Saturdays per month (rota basis)
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Responsibilities
- Shadowing experienced staff during initial training period
- Assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases
- Selling timber products and providing product advice
- Operating a busy trade counter and till system
- Handling returns and processing orders accurately
- Using computer systems for stock checks and order entry
- Maintaining a clean and organised counter area
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a trade counter, retail, or customer service role
- Comfortable using computers and processing transactions
- Strong communication skills and a helpful attitude
- Punctual, responsible, and team-oriented
- Willing to work two Saturdays per month on a rota basis
- Looking for a stable, long-term opportunity
