Skilled Machine Operator
We are seeking a versatile and adaptable Skilled Operative to join our food manufacturing team.
As a key member reporting to the Department Manager, the Skilled Operative will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards, upholding food safety & quality, leveraging process knowledge and control, driving continuous improvement, and assisting in people management within the production environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday (Low Risk - Kitchen Area) 20:00 - 05:00 or (High Risk - Packing) 22:00 - 07:00

- Role and Responsibilities
Health and Safety
- Adhere to health and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Identify and report safety hazards to the Operations Manager promptly.
- Participate in safety training programs and actively promote a safety culture.
Food Safety & Quality
- Follow food safety procedures meticulously to uphold product quality.
- Assist in quality control measures during the production process.
- Communicate any quality issues to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
Process Knowledge and Control
- Apply process knowledge to execute tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Ensure control over specific tasks to contribute to overall process effectiveness.
- Propose suggestions for process improvements based on operational insights.
Continuous Improvement
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing valuable input.
- Participate actively in process enhancement projects and workflow optimizations.
- Engage in skill development opportunities to enhance job performance.
People Management
- Collaborate with team members effectively to achieve production targets.
- Foster a positive team environment through communication and teamwork.
- Support colleagues and promote a culture of mutual respect within the team.
- Key Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, food safety practices, and quality control principles.

- An ability to work with others to create a collaborative, positive work environment
- -Level 2 Food safety certification
