High risk & Low Risk Team Leader

Job Summary

Two dynamic and experienced Team Leaders.

One will be joining low risk and one high risk production team.

The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our production team, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, food safety & quality, process knowledge and control, continuous improvement, and people management.

Monday to Friday (Low Risk - Kitchen Area) 20:00 - 05:00 or (High Risk - Packing) 22:00 - 07:00

  • Role and Responsibilities

Health and Safety

  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and provide necessary training to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.

Food Safety & Quality

  • Monitor and uphold strict food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

Process Knowledge and Control

  • Have a deep understanding of production processes and equipment.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize waste and ensure product consistency.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify areas for improvement in processes, procedures, and team performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and adjust strategies as needed.

People Management

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production workers.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and motivate a diverse team.
  • Level 2 Food safety certification.
  • Working knowledge of people management processes.

Desirable

  • Experience within the low-risk department
