Telephone Interpreter / Freelance / Work from Home
Are you an experienced UK based interpreter, fluent in English and a 2nd language? In this freelance work-from-home role, you\’ll work with a global leading language agency to provide interpretation across a range of industries, including NHS, healthcare and the Public Sector.

Responsibilities
- Providing interpreting services to organisations and their customers with limited English proficiency
- Answer requests and interpret real-time conversations both ways via audio call, using a dedicated app
- Interpreting and translating English to a 2nd language and vice versa over the phone in real time
- Providing accurate and complete interpretation whilst demonstrating excellent customer service at all times
Ideal Person / Qualifications
- Previous proven professional experience in verbal interpretation is essential
- Living in the UK and eligible to work in the UK on a self-employed basis
- Fluent in English and a 2nd language
- Has in-depth understanding of the cultural dynamics of both languages
- Community Interpreting Level 3 certificate or higher, is desirable but not essential
- You must hold, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
