The Technical Administrator/PSO will provide administrative and technical support to the operations team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled administrator with a background or interest in technical documentation and maintenance systems, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and compliance across our operational activities. The role supports operational delivery by enabling planning, coordination, reporting, and governance in a complex and fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration & Organisation: Act as the first point of contact for all administrative tasks within the operations team, maintaining structure and ensuring clarity of documentation and communications.
  • Financial Administration: Raise purchase requisitions and process invoices in SAP, maintaining financial accuracy and tracking against budgeted operational activities.
  • Document Management: Maintain and update systems for technical documentation, drawings, and maintenance records, ensuring alignment with compliance and operational standards.
  • Contractor & Supplier Coordination: Assist with contractor onboarding, scheduling, and engagement activities, including organising market engagement exercises as required.
  • Risk Management Support: Coordinate risk workshops, manage updates to the operational risk register, and assist in preparing inputs for corporate reporting processes.
  • Steering & Review Processes: Support the preparation and administration of operational steering groups and project reviews, capturing actions and ensuring follow-through.
  • Governance & Continuous Improvement: Maintain governance frameworks, procedures, and lessons learned records to promote high-quality, consistent operational delivery.
  • Reporting: Collate, validate, and submit performance data and documentation required for internal and external reporting cycles. Track action plans and monitor deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Essential:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Confident self-starter with good organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proactive, reliable, and adaptable under pressure
  • Comfortable working with technical documentation and operational uncertainty
  • Ability to manage confidentiality and sensitive information appropriately

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality administrative support in a professional setting

DESIRABLE:

  • 3+ years' experience in administration, project support, or purchasing functions
  • Exposure to operational delivery within complex or technical infrastructure projects
  • Experience with databases and structured data management
