Gi group are supporting McLaren automotive to recruit 5 automotive technicians. As an Automotive Technician you will work in conjunction with the Launch team to ensure the smooth launch into production of new Ultimate series models and subsequent derivatives and model year changes ensuring all quality, cost and volume targets are achieved. You will carry out production build of Ultimate series vehicles to achieve required build volume targets. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to work on the forefront of automotive technology with some of the most advanced cars in the world!
Pay rates as below:
- Standard - £18.51 per hour before 40 hours
- Overtime - £27.76 per hour after 40 hours and Saturdays
- Sunday and Bank holiday - £37.02 per hour
Working Monday to Friday with possible overtime available at weekends. Working hours - 07:30 to 16:30.
Principal accountabilities:
- Understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the construction, painting or assembling of vehicles.
- Ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are completed to the required quality standard.
- Ensure that all operations are completed to the required timescale.
- Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles.
