Service Driver, 7.5t Driver

Salary: £29,694.60 standard 42 hr week

Location: Nottingham, NG6

Days: Monday to Friday

Standard hours: 07.30 hrs – 16.30 hrs.

After 45 hours: x1.5 hourly rate – £34,643.70 pa on average 50 hr pw.

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy.

Role Overview

As a Driver 7.5 t (Non LGV) you are responsible for the delivery and collection of our products.

Qualifications

• C1+E Driving Licence is essential.
• At least 2 years commercial driving experience.
• Good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.
• Customer focused experience and expertise.
• Good physical health as the role can be physically demanding.
• Flexible in approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering/collecting the company\’s Toilet units and equipment to its customers, at the right location, at the time required, having planned such delivery to achieve optimum fuel consumption and most efficient use of driver time.
• Inspect all units and equipment on collection to ensure it is in good order, recording all visible damage, excessive dirtiness, missing items etc.
• Ensure all necessary company paperwork is completed in the correct manner to avoid disputes at a later date i.e. signatures obtained for time of delivery/collection, damage sustained or missing plant.
• Drive company vehicles safely, courteously and responsibly, including operating within necessary transport regulations regarding driving hours, operating tacograph according to Ministry of Transport requirements.
• Operate all lifting equipment safely and in accordance with all Company Safety Directives and Method Statements. Loading and unloading plant and equipment in accordance with safe practice, the Company\’s Safety Directives and Method Statements. Ensure axle weights are not exceeded.
• Carry out daily checks of vehicle and any lifting/holding equipment (including straps and chains), record any defects and report them to the Foreman / Depot Manager / Fleet Manager.
