Working closely with the Operations Manager, you’ll take ownership of maintaining and optimising ground mount solar farms - ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.
Your days will be varied: from electrical testing and fault finding to mentoring teammates and managing subcontractors on site. This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, values precision, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Solar array installation - installing cabling and modules across ground mount systems.
- Cable termination - completing DC and AC terminations at distribution boxes.
- Monitoring system setup - installing cabling for data loggers, routers, sensors, and comms equipment.
- Fault identification - diagnosing electrical, comms, and monitoring issues using industry standard testing equipment.
- Annual testing routines - including string testing, DC main cable testing, IV curve testing, and thermal imaging.
- AC inspection - testing and inspecting newly installed AC equipment to BS7671 standards.
