GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our internationally known client in Sittingbourne (ME10). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics. They operate in numerous countries and are known for their technology, customer service, and commitment to sustainability.

Drivers shifts:

  • Afternoon/evening start times on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Weekend work available.
  • Average 12 hour shift.

HGV Class 1 Drivers pay & benefits:

  • Monday to Friday: £20.34 per hour.
  • Saturday: £26.35 per hour.
  • Sunday: £29.41 per hour.

Please note that these pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay.

HGV Class 1 Driver main duties will include:

  • Conducting vehicle checks.
  • Trunking work to depots.
  • Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK.
  • Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met.

HGV Class 1 Driver requirements:

  • A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude.
  • No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes.
  • Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC.
  • Have good customer service skills.
  • Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
