Our Basingstoke based client is looking for a forklift driver to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client specialises in chemical production.
Salary & Hours:
- £27,000 per annum
- £170 per annum shift allowance (when you start working rotating shift)
- Starting hours will be 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 8am-4pm Friday, these will then move to the below hours:
- Week 1: 6am-2pm mon-thurs, 6am-1pm Friday
- Week 2: 1pm-9pm mon-thurs, 12pm-7pm fri

Duties:
- Safely handle hazardous chemicals
- Move Chemicals across the factory using counterbalance forklift
- Operate chemical plant
- Carry out chemical reactions and processes
- Record quantities used throughout the process
- Carry out simple analytical tests
- Pack chemicals
- Clean plant equipment and general areas in the factory
- Carry out simple day to day maintenance of chemical plant
Skills & Experience required:
- Production experience
- Counterbalance forklift license
- Problem solving skills
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg
