Join a global leader in life sciences as a Senior Project Manager. For this position, we are looking for someone who is an experienced Project/Transformation Manager who has successfully guided teams through significant organisational change. You will lead and support staff as they transition into a new operating model, ensuring continuity, engagement and clear direction throughout.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, Flexible Office Hours. Occasional travel to Basingstoke office may be required.

Rate of Pay: £40 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, tasks, deliverables, dependencies and resource requirements
  • Create, maintain and organise high‑quality project documentation and records
  • Lead key validation deliverables (e.g. product risk analyses, validation master plans and related documentation)
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, resources and costs in partnership with Finance and cross‑functional teams
  • Identify, document and communicate project risks and contingency plans
  • Track and report project status, timelines, issues, actions and budgets
  • Act as primary contact for project information; document and archive project activities and decisions
  • Lead project team meetings, cross‑functional communication and decision‑making, ensuring stakeholder alignment
  • Manage project scope, balancing customer, team and company needs
  • Promote a proactive, professional culture and contribute to group success
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing organisational strategy through Product Life Cycle projects
  • Lead development of processes and tools for change management and business transformation, including project funnel and prioritisation
  • Run lessons‑learned sessions and maintain trackers to embed short and long‑term improvements into PM practices
  • Drive standardisation of project management best practice and seek opportunities to harmonise processes and systems across programmes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology or related discipline
  • 9+ years' industry experience, including 5+ years in increasingly senior project management roles along with experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Background in academic research or biotech, ideally with reagent production and QA/Regulatory exposure
  • Technical skills in laboratory and manufacturing techniques; strong knowledge of FDA & GMP compliance (including DC)
  • Advanced understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements for medical devices/diagnostics
  • Proficient in MS Project (or similar PM tools), MS Office, Outlook and internet-based tools
  • Strong understanding of product development challenges and resolution approaches
  • Proven ability to resolve day-to-day issues and develop effective mitigation plans
  • Demonstrated success leading programmes from concept to market, managing cross-functional teams/projects and influencing stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Experience with financial reports, budgeting and related reporting tools
