Are you a Chartered Engineer with experience of the Structural Steel industry? If so I am looking for a Senior Design Engineer for a Halifax-based company with 50 years of experience due to expansion.
Requirements
– Minimum 10 years\’ experience of structural steelwork design including knowledge of relevant British and European design standards/codes.
– Must have previous experience of working with a UK based steelwork fabricator.
– Degree educated ideally working towards incorporated or chartered status.
– Experienced in structural steelwork frame design, member design and steelwork connection design.
– Conversant in using Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer, Masterseries, S-Frame, Idea Statica and various cold rolled suppliers design software\’s.
– Experience in designing temporary works would be advantageous.
– Produce both manual and software design calculations.
– Must be able to work on your own initiative, raise necessary queries and co-ordinate information with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
– Work within design budgets.
– Report to the Head of Design.
– Attend and conduct meetings.
– Work to company QA procedures.
– Liaise with other department within the business as deemed necessary to meet all project demands.
– Maintain great working relationships with clients to achieve excellent feedback.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business.
