Our client, a market leading global analytics services and solutions provider for the biopharma, food, environmental and safety markets. Highly experienced in the manufacture of analytical instruments, genetic testing and test equipment, medical imaging systems, and software for a variety of laboratory devices.

We are currently looking for a Sales Specialist with previous sales experience of instrumentation , however, my client will consider applications from candidates with experience using relevant instrumentation in a laboratory environment who are considering a change in career direction.
As the Sales Specialist you will be responsible for the sale of products from the Analytical Solutions Division of my client mainly in the Munster Region.
The product portfolio falls into two areas:
Separation Sciences including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC)
Spectroscopy including Ultraviolet (UV), Infrared (IR), Atomic Absorption (AA) and Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP & ICPMS).Responsibilities
Compete for all sales opportunities within the territory
Build and maintain relationships with customers
Gain knowledge of customer funding procedure
Develop and maintain CRM customer/prospect record
Attend seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote business
Maintain knowledge of products and prepare, collect and maintain presentation aids.
Maintain knowledge of competitors products
Regular business forecasts
Involvement with customer account receivablesRequirements
Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacology or similar
Full Irish driving licence
Proven sales experience, within laboratory Instrumentation an advantage
Sales training will be given to laboratory technicians/scientists who have used relevant instrumentation in industry or academia.
Good presentation, communication and inter-personal skills, including negotiation skills
Numerate and competent with detail and analysis
Prepared to travel throughout the region and sometimes overseas on an ad hoc basis.
