A leading engineering/manufacturing business within the energy generation sector is seeking a proactive Quality Inspector to support manufacturing quality across in-process inspection, build verification and final inspection. This Quality Inspector position is hands-on and carries real authority - ideal for a Quality Inspector who is confident making independent quality decisions and escalating issues to protect product integrity and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections throughout manufacturing
- Verify manufacturing operations against approved processes
- Conduct build verification inspections
- Complete final product inspections
- Perform dimensional inspection using approved measuring equipment
- Carry out detailed visual inspections
- Verify manufacturing documentation and quality records
- Confirm compliance with customer and engineering requirements
- Perform containment inspections as required
Quality authority / governance
- Independently approve manufacturing operations
- Reject non-conforming product
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Apply Quality Holds where required and remove them following verification
- Stop production where product quality or safety is at risk
- Escalate quality concerns using established governance routes
