We are recruiting for Waste Operatives for our client based in Ripon HG4 1TT - OWN TRANSPORT IS REQUIRED.
Hours: Monday – Sunday 8am-5pm – Summer, 8am-4pm – Winter. This is rota based - Includes weekends. All sites are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - you will be required to work these days. Your shifts will be discussed on induction.
Key Duties:
- Helping residents with unloading their vehicles of waste and disposing of the items in the correct waste and recycle bins.
- Direct residents to the correct bins and recycling areas.
- Working outdoors in all weathers.
- Conducting the collection of full skips.
- Using online systems on site.
- Separating materials into allocated bins.
- Public facing, greet residents as they arrive.
- Help keep traffic moving safely and smoothly.
Candidate Requirements:
- Good customer service skills and polite, professional manners.
- Confident speaking to members of the public.
- IT literate and comfortable using handheld devices.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- Able to work outdoors and stand for long periods.
