The role:
On behalf of our client we are hiring a Regional Account Manager to take ownership of sales performance across a defined region-maximising revenue from every account opportunity. You'll manage a portfolio of various customers, blending office-based sales activity with regular face-to-face visits.
Working closely with Business Development, Retention Teams, Trade Store Managers and Regional Sales Representatives, you'll drive customer engagement, increase account spend and keep strong focus on live opportunities-especially within top-spending accounts and high-potential prospects.
What you'll be doing:
- Account Management: Build strong relationships with priority accounts through proactive phone contact and face-to-face meetings. Understand customer needs and respond quickly to enquiries. Create multiple points of influence within each account to protect and grow spend.
- Sales Development & Growth: Generate new enquiries and coordinate quoting activity with internal teams. Spot growth opportunities through gap analysis and follow through with clear actions. Support Stores with sales initiatives to achieve monthly targets. Partner with Regional Sales Reps to increase new and active customer footfall. Engage and onboard new prospects, delivering a positive and structured customer journey.
- Customer Engagement: Complete planned site visits to maintain visibility, strengthen relationships and encourage Trade Store footfall.
- Coordination, Admin & Reporting: Maintain consistent follow-up on key growth accounts and live opportunities. Support selected Bronze accounts to retain and develop spend. Log activity accurately in NetSuite and meet proactive sales activity KPIs. Create Account Management Plans for key accounts, including monthly forecasting and Kill the Red (KTR) analysis. Resolve issues quickly to maintain customer confidence and report performance as required.
