Location: Reading

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am-6:30pm or 6:30am-3:30pm. Every other Saturday (4 hours required).

Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy distribution team based in Reading. This is a temp to perm opportunity with a mixture of driving and warehouse work.

The role:

  • Multi-drop van driving in a 3.5T vehicle - up to 15 drops per day
  • Delivering goods to various customers within approximately a 1-hour radius of the Reading site
  • Picking and packing orders accurately
  • Working on goods in and goods out
  • Using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process orders and stock
  • General warehouse duties, including loading/unloading vehicles
  • Lifting and shifting heavy goods as required
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred)
  • Previous van driving experience (3.5T) desirable
  • Previous warehouse experience, including picking/packing, is an advantage
  • Comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy items
  • Able to use basic computer systems / WMS (training can be provided)
  • Good knowledge of local routes around Reading and surrounding areas beneficial
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
