Railport Operative Shift & Pay Details: Salary: £15 per hour (dependant on experience) Working Hours: Mixture of days and nights Location: NN6, Northamptonshire Duration: 13 weeks temp to perm About our client: Our client provides supply chain management, storage, distribution and related services to a number of major customers and is the operator of major rail freight terminals. The Company is seeking to appoint an experienced and competent Railport Operative. This role involves working rotating shifts across 5 days out of 7 and will involve a degree of flexibility to support the operational demands of a busy rail freight terminal. This is an exciting opportunity to join a very successful and well-known business. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest in transport and distribution who can demonstrate a proven record of effective and efficient transport planning within a national busy fleet operation. Key Responsibilities: · Driving Shunt Locomotive · Operating 90-ton Intermodal Reach stacker (Container Handler). · Ensuring H&S procedures are adhered to at all times. · Liaising with Traffic Office to ensure efficient handling of road vehicles. · Completion of stock integrity checks and associated data input · Performing Train-Shunting Duties. · Arrival, Pre-Departure & Final Train Checks.
