We are recruiting Production Operatives to join our client for an immediate start!
Location: Barnwell, Northamptonshire, PE8
Shift is 07.00-16.30 £12.69 (15.30 - 16.30 £18.57) Monday to Friday with some opportunity for overtime. Salary is £12.69 starting with opportunity for progression as they build their skill set. Overtime £19.04. Bonuses after 3 months!
Our client manufactures high quality concrete products for the building industry and they operate several production lines for different products. Some of the products have reinforced steel in them and these have to be prepared before they reach the production line.
Your duties will include:
- You will need to have the ability to learn new tasks and operate different equipment adhering to safety rules and regulations to be successful. As the warehouse uses wet concrete it is not a clean environment.
- Help maintain factory machinery and vehicles.
- Assist with daily cleaning tasks whilst working safely, following all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting, wearing PPE, and reporting any equipment defects.
- Maintain the high quality of products by regularly inspecting them.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Ideally you will come from a background such as construction, roofing, scaffolding, groundwork or building; however, other backgrounds will be considered.
- You will need excellent time keeping and attendance with a self-motivated team focus attitude.
- The ability to learn about all the machines in the different departments and able to communicate with.
- The site is tasked to fulfil orders on output so you will need to work as a team to achieve these targets, so you will need to work well under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing ideas on how to improve production processes.
- You will need basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- You will need to be physically fit for this role.
