GI Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Process Operative for our prestigious client based in Carcroft, Doncaster. Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke leisure products ranging from soft play equipment, sensory equipment and trampoline parks. We are looking to speak with motivated & reliable candidates who want to develop with a business who are in a period of growth and can offer genuine opportunities for progression.
Working Hours: 06:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday. 06:00 - 12:00 on Friday.
Pay Rate: Β£13.00 to Β£14.55 p/h depending on experience.
Main objectives/Responsibilities:
- To make GRP products (mainly slides for playground equipment) from start to finish
- Mould preparation (New / Refurbish/ Minor prep)
- Gel processing & Tint colour mixing
- Trimming / Sanding process
- Applying chemical coatings
- Polishing & packing
- Operation of various machines
- Interpret drawings to acquire correct sizes, cut-out requirements and orientations of products.
- Be self-reliant on tasks
- Follow work plans exactly
- Constantly look to improve quality of products.
Competencies and Skill set:
- Understanding of the materials used and the process involved in manufacturing GRP product.
- Safe use of hand tools both manual & battery operated.
- Attention to detail and identifying defects.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to clean, organise and keep tidy workspaces.
- Correct use of PPE
- Physically able to maintain manual handling procedures (training will be given in manual handling).
