GI Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Process Operative for our prestigious client based in Carcroft, Doncaster. Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke leisure products ranging from soft play equipment, sensory equipment and trampoline parks. We are looking to speak with motivated & reliable candidates who want to develop with a business who are in a period of growth and can offer genuine opportunities for progression.

Working Hours: 06:00 - 15:00 Monday to Thursday. 06:00 - 12:00 on Friday.

Pay Rate: Β£13.00 to Β£14.55 p/h depending on experience.

Main objectives/Responsibilities:

  • To make GRP products (mainly slides for playground equipment) from start to finish
  • Mould preparation (New / Refurbish/ Minor prep)
  • Gel processing & Tint colour mixing
  • Trimming / Sanding process
  • Applying chemical coatings
  • Polishing & packing
  • Operation of various machines
  • Interpret drawings to acquire correct sizes, cut-out requirements and orientations of products.
  • Be self-reliant on tasks
  • Follow work plans exactly
  • Constantly look to improve quality of products.

Competencies and Skill set:

  • Understanding of the materials used and the process involved in manufacturing GRP product.
  • Safe use of hand tools both manual & battery operated.
  • Attention to detail and identifying defects.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to clean, organise and keep tidy workspaces.
  • Correct use of PPE
  • Physically able to maintain manual handling procedures (training will be given in manual handling).
