Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:30, Friday 07:30–14:00

Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support busy a uPVC and Aluminium factory.

The Role

  • Carry out daily planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery including; saws, corner cleaners, welding machinery & reinforcement machines.
  • Repairs and servicing will range from sensors and relays to belts, blades and pneumatic.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding & repair
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Coordinate mandatory inspections and servicing as required
  • Complete hands-on repairs where possible, and when not, escalate and manage specialist support
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are fully documented and reports are produced for management.
  • Work in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in CNC machine tool service/maintenance
  • Strong electrical and mechanical capability
  • Confident working with a variety of CNC machine types and control systems
  • High attention to detail - manual dexterity and ability to handle small components
  • Clear understanding of the importance of fast, effective repairs to reduce downtime

Hours and Salary

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
  • Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 which may be negotiable
  • Part time hours may be considered for the right candidate
