Gi Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support busy a uPVC and Aluminium factory.
The Role
- Carry out daily planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery including; saws, corner cleaners, welding machinery & reinforcement machines.
- Repairs and servicing will range from sensors and relays to belts, blades and pneumatic.
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding & repair
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Coordinate mandatory inspections and servicing as required
- Complete hands-on repairs where possible, and when not, escalate and manage specialist support
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs are fully documented and reports are produced for management.
- Work in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in CNC machine tool service/maintenance
- Strong electrical and mechanical capability
- Confident working with a variety of CNC machine types and control systems
- High attention to detail - manual dexterity and ability to handle small components
- Clear understanding of the importance of fast, effective repairs to reduce downtime
Hours and Salary
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 which may be negotiable
- Part time hours may be considered for the right candidate
