About the Role
Gi Group is recruiting Car Compound Drivers to join a leading automotive logistics company based at Portbury Dock, near Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for vehicles, and want to build a long-term career in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle movement — Safely drive and relocate vehicles around the compound and wider site
- Vehicle checks — Carry out basic pre‑ and post‑movement inspections
- Accurate parking — Park vehicles following site maps and procedures
- Team collaboration — Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment
- Safety standards — Maintain high levels of safety and professionalism at all times
Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points
- Confident driving skills across manual, automatic, and electric vehicles
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Previous experience in vehicle handling or automotive logistics is desirable but not essential
