A well-established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a small workshop team producing high-quality sheet-metal components. This role requires strong fabrication skills, confidence operating a press brake, and experience using a laser cutter. You will work in a modern workshop environment supporting wider manufacturing operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Operate the press brake to form and shape sheet-metal components
- Use a laser cutter (Trumpf or similar) for cutting and profiling parts
- Carry out MIG welding to a high standard across various fabrication tasks
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Assist with general fabrication and workshop duties
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Support wider manufacturing tasks when required
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator
- Competent in press brake operation
- Experience using a laser cutter
- Strong MIG welding ability
- Good understanding of fabrication and sheet-metal processes
- Ability to work independently within a small team
- Reliable, organised and safety-focused
