Hours: Full-time

We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters / Assemblers / Engineers to join our client's expanding production team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical skills who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving and contributing to a busy manufacturing environment. You will be involved in the assembly of large generator sets and associated components, including pipework, trunking systems, exhaust systems and other mechanical assemblies.

We are looking for reliable, motivated candidates who can work well within a team and also use their own initiative on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical assembly of generator sets, tanks, pipework, trunking and exhaust systems
  • Confident use of a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Working from mechanical drawings and engineering schemes
  • Supporting production teams and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
  • Identifying tasks proactively and working independently when required
  • Occasional travel to other UK sites and potentially overseas
Candidate Requirements
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Understanding of basic engineering practices
  • Ideally qualified or experienced in a modern manufacturing or automotive environment
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mechanical or automotive environment
  • Good physical health and a hands-on approach
  • Effective communication and team coordination skills
  • Logical problem-solving ability and a positive, 'get things done' attitude
  • Organised, reliable and conscientious
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence (minimal points)
  • Clean criminal record (required for client compliance)
  • Willingness to work at other locations when required
  • Forklift operation forms part of the role - B1/B2 training provided
